A 16th Century Brussels Tapestry Panel
Depicting two elegantly dressed ladies returning from the hunt – a popular subject for a wealthy family to commission, showing the high status of the household that they could indulge in such noble sport. Woven in wool and silks, the colours remain bright and clear.
This hanging is similar in style to tapestries woven in the workshop of Frans Geubels.
