Including pieces from the Tudor, Elizabethan, Jacobean and Stuart reigns, our selection of furniture has been chosen to offer the highest quality, original examples of the joiner’s art from this era, with superb colour, patination and ‘presence’. These include beautifully carved and dated court cupboards (used to store and display a household’s prized domestic wares), refectory tables (and the ‘joint’ or ‘joined’ stools that would have originally accompanied them), an array of interesting chests (some still with their candleboxes) and chairs of varying dimensions and styles.
