A Charles II Oak Panel Back Side Chair
An exceptional Lancashire chair, the high arched cresting rail vigorously carved with scrolls, flowerhead and grapes, above a single panel carved with a stylised Tudor rose, the stems interwoven with delicately carved leaves. The seat made from a single oak board, above run moulded rails supported on a baluster turned leg, terminating in the original “toes”.
