Cromwellian Oak Joint Stool
Having a moulded boarded top secured by four square pegs to a run moulded frieze, set between heavy bobbin-turned legs which terminate on the original turned toes. The legs are joined by peripheral stretchers.
The heavy bobbin leg turnings would suggest the stool was made in Derbyshire, circa 1660-70.
Height 22.5 inches, width 19.5 inches, depth 11 inches.
