A Fine Early 18th Century English Oak Farmhouse Table
The substantially thick plank top, with the original mitred cleats to each end, supported on heavy square legs, the inner facing corners of which have a tapered stop chamfer, whilst the outward facing corners are decorated with a beaded run-moulding, which is repeated in the end stretchers.
The ‘H’ stretchered base makes this a most comfortable table from which to dine. The condition, colour and surface are all excellent.
Made on the English/Welsh borders, circa 1730.
Length 10 feet, width 33 inches, height 31 inches.
