A Most Impressive 16th Century Large Brass Nuremberg Alms Dish
Being of unusually large diameter, the boldly raised centre consisting of 12 gadrooned ears, all with a double edge, surrounded by a band of Gothic script. The deep boodge rises to a broad rim, which is decorated with a leafy trefoil design. The edge is rolled.
Good colour, excellent condition and weight.
Nuremberg circa 1520-60.
