A Mid-18th Century Welsh Oak Farmhouse Table
The well grained three-plank top, which retains the original cleats to each end, over moulded top rails, with a single drawer to one end.
The slightly tapering legs have end stretchers joined by a single centre stretcher.
The “secret” or hidden tenons, which join the planks and kept in place by a triad of oak pegs, is a very typical constructional technique of mid-Wales.
Good original colour, condition and surface.
Wales, circa 1740-60.
Length 72 inches, width 28 inches, height 30 inches.
