A Charles II Oak Upholstered Stool
Having a most unusual stretcher configuration, the centre long stretchers have beautiful bobbin and reel turnings, which sit above a simple plain bottom stretcher. The baluster turned legs retain most of their integrally turned feet.
The stool is upholstered in a 17th century needlework panel, decorated with a deep bullion thread fringe.
Probably Derbyshire, circa 1680.
Height 18 inches, width 18.5 inches and depth 15 inches.
