A Good Cromwellian Oak Wall Cupboard
Having a moulded cornice above the single opening door, which opens on “pin” hinges and is divided horizontally into two panels, each filled with delicately turned spindles. The frame of the door is decorated with run-mouldings. When open there are two original shelves.
This rare little cupboard has a superb rich patina and surface, especially over the front of the turned spindles.
English, circa 1660-80.
