A Good Early 16th Century Brass Nuremberg Bowl
The base, filled with the figures of two sirens, or mermaids, back to back with a central urn between them.
The sides of the bowl rise steeply to a narrow rim, with a running leaf motif around the edge.
A fine early bowl, with an interesting subject.
Nuremberg circa 1520-1550.
