A Fabulous English Tudor Portrait Panel

The finely carved head, wearing a cap or hat of Renaissance style, sitting above flowing hair, detailed face and full beard. Around the neck is a ruffed collar.

The head, facing to the figure’s right, is set within an exceptionally deeply carved roundel, finished in the corners with well-detailed oakleaf spandrels.

Excellent colour and patina.
