A Rare Charles I Oak Mural Cupboard
A beautiful early seventeenth century oak wall hanging cupboard. The upper section, with turned ballusters incorporating a central door, the panelled base with lozenge carving (the panelled ends are carved in the same manner). The central door with a simple "chain carving", which matches the door above. This type of carving, together with the lozenge, would suggest this piece originated in Wiltshire. The colour and condition are both excellent; the oak having a lovely original skin.
