A Rare Set of 6 Windsor Armchairs
A fine and rare set of 6 19th century low back Windsor armchairs. The spindles, crinolines, legs and arm bows made from wonderful swirly grained ash, the fretted centre splats are fruitwood, whilst the seats are shaped from the finest grained elm. The colour and patination are exceptional.
Maker George Nicholson of Rockley (fl 1831-41).
