A Small William and Mary Oak Chest of Drawers
The two-plank top, with applied edge moulding, is fastened to the front and side rails, with short square oak pegs, sitting above a surprising drawer configuration. As one would expect, the top two drawers are half-drawers, but the next row down are also half-drawers, whilst the bottom two drawers are full length. The drawers are all decorated with mitred mouldings, whilst the frame is decorated with half-round or D-moulding. The chest sits on its original flat bun feet, below a concave bottom moulding.
